Marjorie (“Margie”) Luft entered her eternal rest peacefully on July 26, 2012.  She was born on October 18, 1921 and grew up in Wisconsin.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of fifty years, Tom Luft, and her sister Marion Lawson.  She is survived by her son Bill Luft and partner Larry Larrinaga, her son David Luft and wife Janet, and her son Colonel Michael Luft and wife Becky, granddaughters Susie and her husband Christopher Carter, and Jennifer and her husband Captain Noah Webster, and great granddaughter Amelia Grace Carter.

Margie and Tom spent much of their married life in Dallas and Houston, and happily retired to Wimberley in their later years.  They owned an embroidery business in Houston and Wimberley, and Margie also loved working at various gift shops, especially the Old Mill Store on the Wimberley square where she greeted customers with a smile, her unique laugh, and her talent for making sales!  

Margie’s faith in the Lord and her family were paramount in her life.  She and Tom were active members of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church where she is remembered for her dedication to family and friends, her spirituality, and her love of music.

The family would like to thank Hays Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and Central Texas Medical Center Hospice for their warm and attentive care of Margie.

Funeral services will be on Friday August 3, 2012 at 11:00 am at St Stephen’s Episcopal Church Chapel located at 6000-A FM 3237, Wimberley, TX  78676.  Please also visit www.Penningtonfuneralhome.com  to share memories with the family.
