Uhlig, Joy A (Bretschneider) 71 years, passed away on 16 October 2016. Joy was born to Oswald and Benadetta (Picciurro) Bretschneider on 18 February 1945. 

She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert Uhlig of Grafton, Wisconsin whom she married on 7 July 1973, her cherished daughter Gina (Michael) Daiter of Milwaukee, and her loving grandson Matthew Daiter. She is further survived by her dear sister Carol King of Newburg, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Joy was preceded in death by her parents Oswald and Benadetta Bretschneider, brothers Lee and Roger Bretschneider, and her brother-in-law Wayne King.

Joy had a bubbly personality and enjoyed taking with everybody. She enjoyed embroidery, volunteering on Election Day voting, working at daycare with “her kids”, acting as a second Mom for many friends, and calling her friends and relatives on their birthdays and anniversaries. She enjoyed traveling thru-out the Western US, Hawaii, and Western Canada.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, 20 October 1:30 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church 701 Washington St. Grafton, Wisconsin. Interment was at Immanuel Cemetery. Visitation was at the church on Thursday from 11:30 AM until 1:15 PM. Memorials to the church appreciated.

Joy is pictured on page 40 in the 4th edition of the Seidemann Family Tree book and is listed on page 90. She is a sixth generation descendant of Friedrich and Rosina Seidemann and her genealogy line is as follows; Friedrich, Traugott, Mary, Ida, Oswald, Joy. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
