Died: 18 June 2019
Moore, Connie Lee (Zenker), 66, passed away 18 June 2019, to her eternal life with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Connie had fought a blood disease for 27 years. She worked as an accountant at C.D. Hall by day and as a Weight Watcher leader in the evening. Weight Watchers was her passion. If you had the pleasure of knowing Connie over time, you would become a better person and you probably wouldn’t know it until you had to use it. Even on her darkest day when she was feeling so badly, she was looking ahead and she would say she would be better soon.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Moore; son, Wallace C. Jackson (Dawn); stepchildren, Deanna Carl (Jason), Damon Moore (Dawn) and Samantha Kerr (Iain); brother, Jerry Clarke; sisters, Deborah Dodson (Patrick), Trisha Nichols (Burt); 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the VCU hospital and its staff for the care that Connie received over the last three years. She could not have been in a better place!
The family will receive friends Monday, 24 June 2019, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Bliley’s Staples Mill, where a Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, 25 June at 11 a.m. Interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Massy Cancer Center or if able, donate blood at the American Red Cross.
Connie is pictured in the 4th edition of the Seidemann Family Tree Book on page 188 with her husband on their wedding day. She is listed on page 208 with her husband and her step children.
