Beimborn, Donald, PhD, died at his home on15 November 2022 after a long illness. He was 82 years old. He was born on 14 March 1939 to Alfred and Louise Beimborn. He suffered from pulmonary fibrosis for ten years.
Don received the first PhD in ecology granted by the University of Minnesota. He spent most of his career working on scientific college textbooks at Burgess Publishing in Edina. Don specialized in scientific art, including intricate illustrations
Don is survived by his wife Mary Louise Paulson, his daughter Jennifer, and granddaughter Alexis Gibson. He is also survived by his brother Edward and wife Jan of Milwaukee, and their two children. He is also survived by his in-laws Cathy and Jim Gray, and Margie and Bob Templeton of Los Angeles.
A memorial service will be held at a later time.
Don is listed in the 4th edition of the Friedrich Seidemann Family Tree Book on page 96 with his wife, children and granddaughter. He is a 6th generation descendant of Friedrich and Rosina Seidemann and his genealogy line is as follows: Friedrich, Traugott, Mary, Anna, Alfred, and Donald.
