It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Carole Ann Boehlke, who left this world unexpectedly on Thursday, 25 April 2024. Born on 6 March 1951, in Port Washington to her parents, Gerald and Jeanette (nee Wilkens) Ziehr, Carole grew up surrounded by family and faith. On 10 June 1979, she exchanged vows with her beloved husband, Harold Boehlke, at St. John Lutheran Church in Fredonia. Their union was blessed with two children, filling their lives with love and joy.

Carole was a cherished member of her community, dedicating herself to St. John Lutheran Church in Fredonia where she found solace and friendship. Known for her exceptional baking skills, Carole delighted many with her delectable treats, gathering admirers far and wide for her baking talents. Her passion for nurturing extended beyond the kitchen, as she found peace and joy tending to her vibrant flower gardens, which bloomed under her care.

Carole devoted 37 years of her life to educating students in the Northern Ozaukee School District before retiring to cherish more moments with her family and grandchildren. Her passion for teaching touched the lives of countless students, leaving a lasting impact on those she taught and worked with. Her kindness, warmth, and dedication to her profession will be remembered by all who knew her.

Carole will remain in the hearts of her beloved husband Harold, her treasured children Peter (Jennifer), Bryan (Heather); adored grandchildren Maggie, Lilly, Jack, Addy, and Ethan; siblings John (Judy) Ziehr, Bill (Jill) Ziehr, Jim (Colleen) Ziehr; siblings-in-law Loretta Riemer, Ron (Janice) Boehlke, Delbert (Jean) Boehlke. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear best friend and honorary sister Pat (David) Davis and her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, parents-in-law Ernst and Esther Boehlke; sister Sue and her husband Orv Ahrens and brother-in-law Willard Riemer.

A Funeral Service will take place at 1:30pm on Friday, 3 May 2024 at St. John Lutheran Church, 824 Fredonia Ave., Fredonia WI 53021. Pastor Frisque will preside. The family will receive visitors at the church from 10:30am until the time of service. Carole will be laid to rest at St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Fredonia.

Carole is listed in the 4th edition of the Friedrich Seidemann Family Tree Book on page 112 with her husband Harold, their children, and their grandchildren. She is a 6th generation descendant of Friedrich and Rosine Seidemann and her genealogy line is as follows: Friedrich, Traugott, Emma, Herman, Jeanette, and Carole.
