Francis J. Chesak, 91 years, passed away on 8 February 2025. He is born to Carl & Della (Hansen) Chesak in El Paso, Texas on 9 February 1933.
On 15 August 1953 Francis married JoAnn Netzer and they spent 70 wonderful years together. They had four children and enjoyed many good times together.
After retirement they traveled extensively in the United States and Canada in their motorhome. After their travels ended, they returned to El Paso where they were active at Raphael’s Church.
Francis is preceded in death by the wife JoAnn. Francis is survived by his children; Mike and his wife Judy, David, Cindi and her husband Sam, Sue and her husband Mike, along with 7 grand kids, Christopher and his wife Alicia, Kevin, Maxx, Mason, Merrick, Katlin and her husband Justin, Lindsay and Ellison. He also has 2 great grandchildren Reed and Hase Dinges.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM, Monday, 3 March 2025 at Sunset Funeral Homes – East, 750 N. Carolina Dr. Funeral Mass and Interment times are currently pending.
Francis is pictured in the 4th edition of the Friedrich Seidemann Family Tree Book on page 72 with his wife JoAnn, their four children, their daughter and son-in-laws, and their grandchildren. He is listed on page 132 and 133 with his wife, their children, and grandchildren. He is a 5th generation descendant of Friedrich and Rosine Seidemann and his genealogy line is as follows: Friedrich, Traugott, Clara, Carl, Francis.
