JoAnn (Netzer) Chesak died on 12 July 2023. She was born in Belview, Kentucky to Edward and Myrtle (Schatzman) Netzer on 04 February 1933. She moved to El Paso at a young age where she attended Austin High School. During her time in Austin, she met Francis Chesak.
They were married on 15 August 1953 and spend 70 wonderful years together. JoAnn retired from YISD and with Francis they bought their 1st motorhome. Traveling became their passion. They spend the next 19 years and 3 more motorhomes traveling the US and Canada.
After travels ended, they settled back in El Paso where Joann became very active with the Assistance League of El Paso and active member of at Raphael’s church.
JoAnn is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Francis. Children; Mike and his wife Judy, David, Cindi and her husband Sam, Sue and her husband Mike, along with 7 grand kids, Christopher and his wife Alicia, Kevin, Maxx, Mason, Merrick, Katlin and her husband Justin, Lindsay and Ellison. She also has 2 great grandchildren Reed and Hase Dinges. She will be deeply missed.

Visitation was 13 July 2023, from 4 to 7 at Sunset Funeral home on Carolina Drive with mass on 14 July starting at 10 at St. Raphael’s church.
Sue is pictured in the 4th edition of the Friedrich Seidemann Family Tree Book on page 72 with her husband Frances, their four children, daughter and son-in-law’s, and their grandchildren. She is listed on page 132 and 133 with her husband, their children, and grandchildren.
