Chesak, Ret. Colonel Kenneth L passed away on 1 November 2018 in Austin, Texas at the age of 89 years. He was born in El Paso, Texas on 18 January 1929. He lived there through his childhood years and graduated from University of Texas at El Paso. He married his wife Betty Jo Daley in 1951. 

Ken served in United States Army from 1951 to 1981. He was in the 82nd Airborne in 1960. He had two tours in Vietnam, 1957 and 1966. He was a Battalion Commander 1st Armored Division at Fort Hood, Texas in 1968. Ken retired as a Colonel in 1981 at Red Stone Arsenal Huntsville, Alabama. 

Ken and his wife lived in Huntsville, Alabama after his retirement. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty. He is survived by sons Kenneth and Joseph and their wives Michele and Martha; 4 grandchildren William, Carsan, April, and Scott; 2 great grandchildren Owen and Sam. Ken’s service was held at the Good Shepard Catholic Church Huntsville, Alabama on 30 November 2018 at 11am.

Ken is a fifth generation descendant of Friedrich and Rosina Seidemann. His genealogy line is as follows: Friedrich, Traugott, Clara, Carl, Kenneth. He is listed as a donor to the family tree book on page xi, pictured on page 71 with his wife, and listed on page 132 with his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
