Crass, Phillip S.

Died: 3 December 2015

Crass, Phillip Stuart , 83, of West Bend passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, 3 December 2015, at the home of his niece. Phillip was born 30 July 1932. He was a devoted uncle to many nieces and nephews and loved his Catholic faith.

Phillip spent many years supporting activities at Lac Lawrann Conservancy. His knowledge and love of birds inspired him to feed and care for them and in return he enjoyed their beauty and antics. In addition to Lac Lawrann, Phillip belonged to the Barton Historical Society, Young at Heart and bird club. He spent many years volunteering by reading to schoolchildren, administering communion to shut-ins, and helping with the annual Seidemann family reunion. Phillip retired after working with the Wisconsin Motor Vehicle Department. Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Edna Crass, and 16 brothers and sisters. He is survived by two brothers, Everette Crass of Land O’ Lakes and Bruce Crass of Phelps. He is further survived by two sisters-in-law, Francis Crass of Mayville and Marinette Crass of West Bend, and one brother-in-law, Floyd Cook of West Bend.

Phillip will be deeply missed by his many friends and family. He was an especially cherished uncle of the Koenig children. His passing will leave a big hole in the hearts of Sandy, Cheryl, Geri, Butch and Randy. There will be no funeral services. Phillip’s wishes were to dedicate his body to medical research and education.

Phillip is listed on pages x, xi as a patron and volunteer of the History and Family Tree of the Friedrich Seidemann Family 4th edition 2005, pictured on page 231, and listed on the family tree on page 301. Philip served on the Seidemann Planning Committee for over 19 years and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
