Robert “Bob” Goehring, age 80, of Carrington, ND, died Saturday, 10 September 2016, in Golden Acres Manor, Carrington.

Robert Clemens Goehring was born June 1936, to Clarence and Suzanna (Illchen) Goehring on the family farm home near Hazelton, ND. The family lived in Hazelton for a period of time before moving to Kensal, ND, in 1948. Bob graduated from Kensal Public Schools in 1954. After graduation Bob joined the Air Force, and was stationed in Ellsworth, SD, California and Newfoundland, Nova Scotia. After fulfilling his duty to his country, he worked for Epp Construction.

Robert married Maureen Scholz and had three children; Ruth, Robyn, and Bryan. Robert worked on construction of fertilizer plants in various states for many years. Many years later Bob established Carrington as his home, and work various jobs in Carrington. His talents for construction were well used to assist many people in the Carrington Community. One of Bob’s hidden talents was drawing and the knowledge of history.

He is survived by one son Bryan (Denise) Goehring and one granddaughter, Kylie Goehring, all of Fargo; sisters Artcy Fuhrman, Fond Du Lac, WI, and Anita Scholz, Jamestown; brother Gerald Goehring, Pettibone, ND, and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, one son and one sister Marcia Batzlaff.

Bob is pictured in the 4th edition of the Friedrich Seidemann Family Tree Book on page 386 with his siblings. He is listed on page 407 with his wife, their children, and their great grandchild. He is a 5th generation descendant of Friedrich and Rosine Seidemann and his genealogy line is as follows: Friedrich, Carl, Rosa, Clarence and Robert.
