Gaylord H. Grefe, 84 years, of Mauston, passed away on Thursday 10 February 2005, at Hess Memorial Hospital, Mauston.
Gaylord was born to Laura (Wermuth) and Henry Grefe, Sr. on 7 May 1920. He married Virginia (Morris) 0n 19 April 1945. They had three children.
Friends may call on Sunday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the CRANDALL FUNERAL HOME, Mauston, and on Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of services. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday 14 February 2005, at Bethany Lutheran Church, Mauston. Burial was at the Mauston Cemetery with military honors provided by McEvoy-Miller V.F.W. Post No. 2114, and Burton-Koppang American Legion Post No.81.
At Gaylord’s request in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church, Mauston or Hospice Touch, Tomah, or the McEvoy-Miller V.F.W. Post No. 2114, or the Hope Lodge, Marshfield.
Gaylord is pictured in the 4th edition of the Friedrich Seidemann Family Tree Book on page 180 with his parents and his siblings. He is listed on page 193 with his wife and their family. He is a 5th generation descendant of Friedrich and Rosine Seidemann and his genealogy line is as follows: Friedrich, Friedericka. Oscar, Laura, and Gaylord.
