Janke, Genevieve A, age 79 years of Durant, OK, formerly of Oshkosh and Suring, passed away Monday, 12 May 2008, in Wilson-N-Jones Hospital in Sherman, TX. On 7 May 1929 she was born in Racine, the daughter of Eugene and Ella (nee Peterson) Tanner. On 23 August 1947 she married Willard Janke in Grafton. He passed away 6 April 2001. After her husband’s death, Genevieve moved to Durant to live with her daughter. Genevieve loved to be with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her children: Barbara (Reginald) Robinette of Pound, WI; Sharon Janke of Durant, OK; Kathie (Brian) Schutzendorf of Oshkosh and David (Lisa) Janke of Fort Worth, TX; her grandchildren: Dale (Lori) Diessner of Antigo; Gregory (Mary Jo) Diessner of Durant; Michelle (Kyle) Gebhart of Winneconne; Tori (Kevin) Tully of Walterboro, SC; Cari (Shane) Vondracek and Steve (Rainelle) Robinette both of Neenah; Jeremy Bauer of Ashville, NC; Kelly (Cory) Cooper of Winneconne; Jonathan Bauer and Matthew Bauer both of Oshkosh; Chad, Adam, Hope and Ryan Janke all of Fort Worth; 16 great-grandchildren and one sister, Joanne Kempken of Wind Lake, WI. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death her parents and her grandson, Bryon Robinette.
Funeral services for Genevieve will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, 16 May 2008, in the Fiss and Bills Funeral Home, 130 Church Ave., Oshkosh, WI, with Rev. Jim Bradley officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. Friends may greet the family from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday in the funeral home. Honoring their Grandma as pallbearers will be her grandsons: Dale and Greg Diessner, Jeremy, Jonathan and Matthew Bauer and Steven Robinette.
Geneviese is pictured in the 4th edition of the Friedrich Seidemann Family Tree Book on page 84 with her husband on their wedding day. She is listed on page 84 and 85 with her husband, their children, their grandchildren, and their great grandchildren.
