Kreif, Edwin C. died 18 October 2012 at the age of 74 years. He was the first child born to Edwin August Kreif and Althea Olga (Meuschke) Kreif. He is survived by his loving wife Carol, daughters; Debra, Julie, and Marie, and sons; Larry and Lloyd (Deborah) Kreif. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Rachel, Ashley, John, Paul, and Alexander, two great grandchildren, brothers; William, Frank (Patricia) and George Kreif, and brother-in-law George Sonnentag. Edwin was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Jane (Kreif) Sonentag. 

Edwin was a retired machinist of Evinrude Motors, Milwaukee. He enjoyed woodworking and tinkering in his shop.

Edwin was a sixth generation descendant of Friedrich and Rosine Seidemann and is listed on page 314 in the 4th edition of the Seidemann Family Tree book. His genealogy line is as follows: Friedrich, Johanna, Minnia, Ella, Edwin August, and Edwin Carl.
