Rose M. Kreif, 88 years, of Campbellsport went to her heavenly home on Wednesday Jan. 12, 2011 at Kathy’s hospice in West Bend.  

Rose was born in Eden, Wisconsin on 12 July 1922, the daughter of Peter and Giovanna (Farina) Cappozzo. She graduated from Fond du Lac High School in 1940 and went on to business school. She then worked at an attorney’s office. She married Harold T. Kreif at St. John’s Lutheran Church in New Fane on 23 January 1943. Rose worked side by side with her husband on the farm in addition to working at Regal Ware and Mammouth Springs Canning Factory in Eden. She enjoyed her family, crocheting, and bingo. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Rose was a member of St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. 

Survivors include her husband of 68 years Harold, two sons: Harold J.(Carol) and David (Janell) Kreif both of Campbellsport, 3 daughters: Barb (Darrell) Batterman, JoAnn (special friend Chad) Kreif and Debbie (special friend Jeff) Feldner all of Eden, 11 grandchildren: Brenda (Dan) Flynn, John (Heather) O’Brien, Peter ( Jennifer) Feldner, Jamie (special friend Cheryl) Feldner, Gina Kreif, Kelly Kreif, Matt Abhold, Jenny (special friend Jared) Abhold, Heidi (special friend Paul) Kreif, Heather Kreif, and Corey Mueller. She is further survived by 4 great grandchildren: Amber (special friend Ryan)Teidt, Aiden Feldner, Emma O’Brien and Josie O’Brien, one great great grandson Blaze Teidt, 3 sisters: Dora (John) Uelmen of AR, Gloria (Nick) Romalia of Fond du Lac, and Erma Gantner of Eden, one sister-in-law Dorene Cappozzo, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Peter Cappozzo and one daughter-in-law Sharon Kreif. 

Funeral services will be held on Monday 17 January 2011at 11:30 AM at St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church 1600 S. Main Street in Fond du Lac. Rev. Michael Zuberbier will officiate and burial will follow at 1:45 PM at Ledgeview Memorial Park. Visitation will be Monday from 9:00 AM until time of services at the church. Memorials are appreciated to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
