Beulah M. Leissring (nee Gerner), 94 years, of West Bend, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, 3 December 2017 at the Samaritan, West Bend, Wisconsin.
She was born on 12 March 1923 to the late Edwin and Milda Ida (nee Groeschel) Gerner in the Town of Farmington.
Beulah went to grade school in Cheeseville and graduated from West Bend High School. She went on to Dodge County Normal School in Mayville graduating in 1946. On 12 June 1948 she was united in marriage to Karl Henry Leissring at St. Paul Community Church in Waubeka. Beulah was a kindergarten teacher at several Washington County schools including in Boltonville, Kewaskum, and Farmington. Beulah and Karl farmed in Cascade for eight years in the Town of Farmington from 1956-1973. She was a member of Grand Avenue Methodist Church in Port Washington and taught Sunday school, played the church organ, and was active in the women’s groups. Beulah enjoyed gardening and singing with her sisters, Caroline and Winnie, but she mostly enjoyed spending time with her children and all her grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Those Beulah leaves behind to cherish her memory include her four children, Pamela (Jim) Luken, Richard “Rick” (Carol) Leissring, Heidi (Robert) Rymaszewski, and Karl “Bill” (Kathy) Leissring; seven grandchildren, Ann (Preston) Holt, Amy (Daniel) Schwartzman, Tony Leissring, Nicholas Leissring, Elizabeth (Brandon) Garfoot, Sarah (Brennan) Zenner, and Haley (Fiancé Brent) Leissring; two great grandchildren, Reagan and Ellery Schwartzman; other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Karl Leissring; two brothers, Leslie and Willard Gerner; three sisters, Harriet Steele, Winifred “Winnie” Gerner, and Caroline Risse; two brothers-in-law, Norton Risse and William Steele; two sisters-in-law, Enola Gerner, and Sylvia Gerner.
A funeral service in remembrance of Beulah will be held on Saturday, 9 December 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at the Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend, Wisconsin.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Beulah is pictured in the 4th edition of the Friedrich Seidemann Family Tree Book on page 234 with her husband Karl and page 235 with her sisters. She is listed on page 305 with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She is a 5th generation descendant of Friedrich and Rosine Seidemann and her genealogy line is as follows: Friedrich, Johanna, William, Edwin, and Beulah.
