Shirley Mueller Paape, 88 years of Westfield, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on Monday, 27 January 2025 in the home she loved. She was born 28 June 1936 in Farmington, WI to Armin and Marcella (Neumann) Peterson. Shirley’s working life included time as a farmer, dessert chef for Smith Bros. Restaurant, designer and baker of elaborate wedding cakes, hairdresser, and owner/operator of two successful donut stores. She was a lover of the outdoors and spent countless hours gardening and tending to her flower beds. Above all, she was a mother whose foremost concern was the well-being of her six children.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 25 years, William “Bill” Paape; children, Scott Petersen, Peter Mueller, Debra (Rich) Habich, Jesse (Nancy) Mueller, Daniel (Anne) Mueller and Amy Mueller; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Elsie) Peterson; and other relatives, friends and thoughtful, caring neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents; her prior husband Merlin “Coby” Mueller; and her granddaughter, Carolyn Petersen.

Shirley is pictured in the 4th edition of the Friedrich and Rosine Seidemann Family Tree Book on page 240 with her brother and parents and also with her brother and mother. She is listed on page 319 and 320 with his husband’s children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Shirley is a 6th generation descendant of Friedrich and Rosine Seidemann and her genealogy line is as follows: Friedrich, Johanna, Minnia, Edwin, Marcella, and Shirley.
