John Dale Phipps, 82 years, Tuthill, South Dakota and Surprise, Arizona, died Friday, 10 February 2006, at Sun Health Hospice in Sun City West, Arizona. John was born on 3 June 1923. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include one brother, Donald Phipps, Independence, Virginia, and one sister, Vada Gale, Joplin, Missouri.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, 6 May 2006, at the American Legion Auditorium in Martin, South Dakota. Inurnment will be at Tuthill Community Cemetery.

John was married to Marjorie Leone (Hamilton) Phipps on 22 December 1948. He is listed on page 353 with his wife and her siblings.
