Phyllis Ann Piquette (nee Strykowski) 75 years, of Gay, Michigan, passed away suddenly Sunday 14 March 2010 at her home.
She was born on 25 November 1934 in Waukegan and was a graduate of Waukegan Township High School class of 1952. She married Jerome “Jay” Piquette on 19 June 1954 at Immaculate Conception Church in Waukegan. The couple happily retired to Gay, Michigan in 1993 where she enjoyed visits with family.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, Alois and Grace (Scheffing) Strykowski, a brother, Alois, Jr., and a son-in-law, Tim Walsh.
She is survived by her husband, Jay, daughter, Denise, son Tom (Connie) daughter, Julie Walsh, daughter, Patti (Don Hacker) and son, Andy (Kara); two brothers, Bob (Ann) Strykowski of Gay, Michigan and Tim (Diane) Strykowski of Boise, Idaho, and sister-in-law, Helen Strykowski of Indiana. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, two brothers-in-law, Robert (Marion) and James both of Illinois.
Phyllis was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Church in Calumet, Michigan. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, 19 March 2010 at Immaculate Conception Church (Most Blessed Trinity) Grand Ave. and West St. Waukegan. Interment was at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville. Phyllis is listed in the 4th edition of the Friedrich Seidemann Family Tree Book on page 358 with his husband, their children, their grandchildren, and the great grandchildren. She is a 6th generation descendant of Friedrich and Rosine Seidemann and her genealogy line is as follows: Friedrich, Paulina, Emma, Minnie, Grace, and Phyllis.
