June G. Richter, 93 years of Troy passed away Wednesday, 29 March 2017 at Caldwell House in Troy. She was born March 24, 1924 in Milwaukee, WI to the late James and Viola (Koerner) Mount.

June is survived by: two sons, Mark H. Richter and wife Libby of Radnor and Douglas J. Richter of Centerville; two daughters, Karen L. Richter-Snapp and husband Geoff Kansas of Deerfield, IL and Susan K. Richter and husband John Mastro of Concord, NC; four grandchildren, Laurel Mastro, Rachel Mastro, Thomas (Bridget) Richter and Kathryn Richter, and three great-grandchildren, Valens, Mirabelle, and Juliana Richter.

She married her husband Henry A. Richter on 18 May 1946 and he preceded her in death on 10 November 1992. She was also preceded in death by her second husband Clarence Bosse, daughter Karla J. Richter, and brother Robert Mount.

June was a member of First Lutheran Church in Troy, and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from Marquette University. She was a member of the Current Events Club and was a past member of the Troy Country Club. She volunteered at the Troy Public Library, the Hayner Cultural Center, and the Troy Literacy Council. June enjoyed playing bridge, golf, bowling, and sewing.

A funeral service will be held 11:00AM Saturday, 1 April 2017 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Chaplain Andral Gooden officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30AM-11:00AM prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Miami Valley: 46 N. Detroit Street, Suite B, Xenia, Ohio 45385. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
