Schall, Christine Jean

Died: 5 May 2025

Christine Jean Schall, born 20 March 1955, in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at her home in Jackson, Wisconsin on Monday, 5 May 2025.

Christine was the daughter of William and Esther (Hammann) Stensaas. On 12 June 1976, she married Michael C. Schall in Burnett, Wisconsin—a union that marked the beginning of a life filled with shared purpose and quiet devotion.

Throughout her life, Christine embraced many roles with grace and warmth. She worked at Nancy’s Notions, part-time at Shopko and at Juneau Community Center, where her presence brought a steady kindness to those around her. Most significantly, she dedicated herself to supporting her husband’s business, A.F. Seideman Co., where she managed bookkeeping and contributed to various tasks with diligence and care.

Christine was known for her generous spirit and unwavering love for those closest to her. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother—always putting others before herself. Her sense of humor added lightness to everyday moments, endearing her to all who knew her.

Her kitchen was often filled with the comforting aromas of baking and home-cooked meals—expressions of love that nourished both body and soul. She carefully curated recipes that are now family and friends’ favorites over decades of testing and perfecting those enjoyed most by her loved ones. This passion for serving others reflected Christine’s way of living: humbly giving, always thoughtful.

Christine will be missed by her husband, Mike of Jackson; children, Jason (Melissa “Missi”) Schall, Kevin (Julie) Schall, Stacy (Ben) Seaquist, and Katie Schall; grandchildren, Josephine and Kira, Christian, and Aidan; brother and sisters, Dennis (Kathy) Stensaas, Carol (Rick) Leissring and Kathy (Jim) Zehren; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to all of the nurses and staff with Horizon Hospice as well as a thank you to Dr. Joel Lundberg, Emily Johnson and Froedtert Hospitals in Milwaukee and West Bend.

The memorial gathering will be at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Juneau on Friday, 16 May 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. The funeral service will follow at the church on Friday at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Nicholas Mount officiating.

Memorials may be made in Christine J. Schall’s name to St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church.

Christine is listed in the 4th edition of the Friedrich Seidemann Family Tree Book on page 124 with her husband, their four children, and their four grandchildren.
