Jane E. Schmidt was born to eternal life on 15 October 2023 at the age of 76, at the Grafton Aurora Medical Center.
Jane was born 18 July 1947 in Ozaukee County WI, and lived most of her life in the town of Saukville. She graduated from Port Washington High School in 1965. Jane was united in marriage to the love of her life and high-school sweetheart, Larry in 1968. Their beautiful marriage was blessed with a son and daughter, and then later on a grandson. Jane and Larry’s marriage lasted a wonderful 55 years together.
Jane is survived by her best friend and loving husband of 55 years, Larry D. Schmidt. Best friend and dear mother of son, Scott C. Schmidt; daughter, Dana L. Schmidt; and grandson Chase L. Schmidt. Daughter of Cyril and Renata Luedtke. Preceded in death by her sister Carol A. Willhard.
Jane had an easy going and nurturing way in life to show her love and support to her family. Jane always had time to listen and help the family through rough times. Her big heart and kindness made sure no matter what, everyone always had a smile on their face. Jane will be greatly missed by all those she knew and loved.
Jane’s last job was at an electronics company where she soldered circuit boards and put together medical equipment. She was able to retire from the job she loved to help her daughter raise the newly born grandson. When Jane wasn’t busy enjoying her family, she loved needlepoint, playing cards, and reading. She also loved cooking and baking from which she learned from her mother.
Private family services will be held at Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory in Grafton, WI. Jane will be laid to rest at Union Cemetery in Saukville, WI. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.muellerfuneralhome.com
Jane is listed in the 4th edition of the Seidemann Family Tree Book on page 99 with her parents, his living husband, Larry; their two children, Scott and Dana; and their grandson Chase. She is a 6th generation descendant of Friedrich and Rosine Seidemann and her genealogy line is as follows: Friedrich, Traugott, Mary, Anna, Renata, and Jane.
