Schultz, Carol M. (Crass) 86 years, of Port Washington. Heaven received another angel on Sunday, 1 July 2018.

She was born on 1 October 1931, to the late Arthur and Marida (nee Aurig) Crass in Fillmore, Wisconsin. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Martin’s Church in Fillmore. She fell in love with Paul Schultz at a community picnic. They were united in marriage on 8 January 1949.Together they raised four children.

Carol worked many jobs over the years, but her main vocation was to her husband and family. She was a volunteer as a hospice caregiver.

She loved fishing from childhood. She took special pride in the Muskies she caught on Little Portage Lake in Land O’ Lakes, Wisconsin, where they lived from opening of fishing season to well into October. Their first home was in Waubeka, Wisconsin, right across from the Milwaukee River where the family fished and enjoyed water sports. 

She enjoyed many a game of cribbage, pinochle, sheepshead or Wahoo. She also played golf.

Carol always had a hug waiting – even for a stranger. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Those Carol leaves behind to cherish her memory include her devoted husband of 69 years, Paul; four children, Bonnie (Jeff) Jacque-Gorecki, James (Bonnie) Schultz, Douglas (Lisa) Schultz, and Guy (Katherine) Schultz; 13 grandchildren, Jason (Emma) Jacque, Jodi (Dean) Raih, Janelle (Matt) LeClair, Stephanie (Christopher) Jacoby, Courtney (Jared) Gruber, Benjamin (Amanda) Schultz, Angela (Eric) Beyer, Bobbylee (Jason) Twilbeck, William (Nicole Yunk) Schultz, Reed Slaby, Michael (Shelby Helmbrecht) Schultz, Laura (Scott) Tickner, and Jacob (Audra) Schultz; 21 great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Joyce Crass; a brother-in-law, Ron Schultz; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her four brothers, Carl Crass, Earl (Laverne) Crass, Lee (Winnie) Crass, and Clyde (Lucille) Crass; and a sister, Marcella Crass. 

A funeral service in remembrance of Carol will be held on Friday 6 July 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at the Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer funeral home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend. The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Kathy Hospice in Carol’s name are appreciated by the family. 

The family would like to thank the staff of The Harbor Community and Horizon Hospice for all their tender care.

Carol was a 5th generation descendant of Friedrich & Rosina Seidemann and her genealogy line is as follows: Friedrich, Johanna, Mary, Marida, and Carol. She is listed on page 275 in the 4th edition of the Seidemann Family Tree Book with her family. Carol was a sweet lady and loved by all who know her.
