Wagner, Robert A.

Died: 25 January 2021

Robert Aron Wagner, 82, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Monday, 25 Jan 2021, at 6:51 a.m., after a valiant fight with an unexpected illness and after cheering on his beloved Green Bay Packers with his sons, one final time, as they suffered the agony of defeat in the NFC Championship game.

Robert was born 8 January1939, in Fredonia, Wis., to Aron and Violet Wagner. Robert graduated from Port Washington High School in 1956 and then went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree from Lakeland University in 1960. He was married to his college sweetheart, Joyce Ulmer, for 40 wonderful years before her passing in 2000. As if carried forward on her angelic wings, he then found love again, and a second adventurous life with Oliva Yvonne (Cannon) Stewart, whom he married in November 2003.

Robert spent his career as a passionate chemist in the home building products industry working to develop and unlock the secrets of polymers while introducing the world to vinyl siding. Of course, there were a few stops along the way, which included artificial ice, car parking stops and snow saucers. After retiring his chemists hat in 2001 (except for the fireworks, of course), he continued his passion for reading, grilling, Christmas gifting and family, while excitedly embracing new passions with Yvonne (warm weathers in Florida, summers at their camp near Lake Pymatuning, the casinos of West Virginia, traveling and a new extended family).

He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Wagner; his sisters, June (Tom) Heise and Leila Behrens; his sons, Darren (Dawn) Wagner, Jeff (Angelina) Wagner and Brian (Leslee) Wagner; his four extended children, Kimberly Stewart, Lori Dean, Matt (Sue) Stewart and Joyce (James) Lundford; 15 wonderful grandchildren and extended grandchildren (Zach, Kelsey, Tim, Ryan, Amber, Jessica, Aaron, Leon, Jordan, Alyssa, Rebecca, David, Charles, Olivia and Mathew); and 10 adventurous great-grandchildren and extended great-grandchildren (Jade, Bailie, Luke, Natalie, Quinn, Colton, Lexi, Phoenix and Kendrick).

Funeral services will be held later this year in Waubeka, Wis., after the fog of covid-19 subsides, the beautiful rays of the sun warm the earth and the new life that our Lord and Mother Nature provide, surrounds us all. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, OH 43623, assisted the family in making arrangements.

Robert is pictured in the 4th edition of the Friedrich Seidemann Family Tree Book on page 241 with his siblings. He is listed on page 322 with his wife, their children, their grandchildren, and their great grandchildren. He is a 6th generation descendant of Friedrich and Rosine Seidemann and his genealogy line is as follows: Friedrich, Johanna, Edwin, Angela, Violet, and Robert.
