Wilkens, Martin W. of Grafton went home to his Lord and Savior from Horizon Hospice on 24 June 2012 at the age of 63 after a courageous battle with lymphoma.
Martin was born in Port Washington, WI on 9 April 1949. He was the son of Elmer and Esther (nee Schille) Wilkens. They preceded him in death. Martin was united in marriage to Audrey (nee Schaubs) on 2 June 1979.
Martin worked as an electrician for Meer Electric and was a member of the IBEW Local 494. Martin was a long- time member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Grafton, WI. One of his favorite pastimes was doing jigsaw puzzles.
Martin is survived by his wife, Audrey; a son Daniel (Ashley) Wilkens; a daughter Amanda Wilkens; a brother, Mark (Jean) Wilkens; and by two sisters, Cheryl (Rev. Jonathan) Schultz and Ellyn Wilkens. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday 27 June 2012 at 6 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Grafton. Interment took place at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Newburg, WI. Visitation was held at the church on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.

Martin is pictured in the fourth edition of the Friedrich Seidemann Family Tree Book on page 50 with his parents and siblings, their spouses, his children and nieces and nephews and on page 52 with his wife and their children. He is listed on page 109 with his parents, his wife, and their children. Martin is a sixth generation descendant of Friedrich and Rosine Seidemann and his genealogy line is as follows: Friedrich, Traugott, Emma, Otto, Elmer, and Martin.
