Todd R. Rudie, age 57 years of Freedom (formerly of Gillett), passed away on Monday, 25 September 2023 after a battle with cancer. Todd was born on 16 January 1966 to Richard and Janice (Schindel) Rudie. He graduated from Gillett High School with the class of 1983. On 19 April 1986, Todd married Wanda Nelson at St. John Lutheran Church Hayes. The couple raised two daughters, Heather and Alyssa, prior to Wanda’s passing in 2014. On 7 August 2016, Todd married Gail Braun. Todd worked as a truck driver for numerous companies, including Bay Lakes LLC, Mid County Co-Op, Homan Trucking, and Pomps Tire Service. He enjoyed driving semi and backing a tractor trailer. Todd greatly enjoyed outdoor activities. Some of his favorites included hunting, snowmobiling, ATV-ing, horseback riding, and tractor pulling.
Todd is survived by his wife, Gail; parents, Dick and Janice; daughters, Heather Rudie and Alyssa (Mike) Green; grandson, Killian Green; step-son, Marlin Jed Braun; parents-in-law, Bill and June Kirby. He is further survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda; grandparents, Bill and Zelma Schindel, Anker and Adella Rudie, and Mildred Rudie.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, 30 September 2023 at St. John Lutheran Church Riverside from 11 am until the funeral service at 1 pm with Rev. Mark Palmer officiating. Todd will be interred at Riverside Lutheran Cemetery. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring is assisting the family with arrangements.
